Guest Workshop: Two-Prov Finding Your Niche
Oftentimes, improv exists under the maxim “The more the merrier.” But what if there isn’t more in your merriment? What if you were stranded on a desert island with only your single closest improviser, and you had nothing to do to pass the time except mono-scene longform improv for an audience of hermit crabs and coconuts with faces drawn on them? In this workshop, you will learn how to be prepared for this exact scenario (far more common than we would like to admit.)
With nearly half a decade of two-prov experience, Nadia DeWolf and Doak Rapp will teach you the skills to keep a scene alive, interesting, unique, and memorable. This workshop will focus on what you can do, on an individual level, to keep a scene on its feet, as well as what you can do with your partner to keep the scene running smoothly. With an emphasis on character, monologuing, and monologuing in character, you will learn the skills to spice up your scenes and unlock your duo’s niche!
- Date & Time: Sat, February 1st, 3 PM - 4:30 PM CST
- Location: Little Improv Theater - Home of ComedySportz San Antonio
